Son Stone (Ben Diamond) is a published and award-winning songwriter, poet, and humorist, whose work has the wit of John Prine and the grit of Tom Waits. Ben has written over 250 songs in multiple genres including folk, rock, blues, pop, Hawaiian slack key, and instrumental fingerstyle. As a Hawaiian Slack Key fingerstyle player, Ben has been fortunate to open for legendary players like Jorma Kaukonen (Hot Tuna / Jefferson Airplane) and David Gans (SiriusXM host, Grateful Dead historian, musician). More recently, Ben has been focused on writing and recording original folk music, some of which have been featured in American Songwriter Magazine. Ben and his band, Son Stone, have recently played at My Father’s Place, LIMEHOF (Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame), The Landmark Theater in Port Washington, The Bitter End in NYC, and the Fiddle and Folk Festival in East Setauket. His longanticipated 9th album of folk music was released on 3/20/24 and the full Son Stone band just released an Americana Rock album on 5/26/25.
