The Joy of Wonder: Finding Awe During Times of Uncertainty
An installation of several works in kiln fired glass to celebrate the joy we feel from the beauty that surrounds us despite the time of uncertainty that we are experiencing in this political climate. These works are vivid depictions of flora and fauna. Sea Cliff has a great appreciation for gardens as witnessed in the many parks and beaches around the one square mile village and through the work of the Sea Cliff Beautification Committee.
The many types of glass used create a symphony of color, vibrant and luminous with light. Each installation creates a moment in nature frozen in time through a dynamic display of color and design.
Each work is symbolic of the appreciation of beauty that brings people together to celebrate awe. While this world feels heavy, joy can be found in short authentic moments. This does not ease the pain, diminish adversity or shield stress and anxiety, instead it helps carry the load, build connections and find peace within. With awe and wonder we fill our soul to better endure challenging times with resilience. My hope is to bring joy to all that experience my work
