Waterside Studio is a small beachside cottage art school in Sea Cliff, NY — where students from ages 4 to 49 explore painting, drawing, sculpture, and clay work in a warm, creative environment.

Founded by Jo Gray, Waterside offers private lessons, small group classes, and therapeutic art instruction throughout the year. After 27 years of teaching in the North Shore School District, Jo brings a practiced, nurturing approach to every student — one that meets artists exactly where they are and helps them find confidence and voice through their work.

In the warmer months, you'll find the studio spilling out to the water's edge, where students paint en plein air with the shore as their classroom. The studio holds space for all levels, all ages, and all kinds of creative exploration.

This spring, Waterside's student artists are showcasing their work at the Sea Cliff Main Library — a celebration of the range, growth, and imagination that happens when art truly has no limits.
