My art is my truth. It reflects where I’ve been, what I’ve felt, and who I am becoming. Through it, my hope is that each painting carries some of that emotional truth, And in sharing it, I hope to connect with others who recognize something of themselves in my work.

“Whenever I pick up a paintbrush I realize there is more to me than I knew existed.” -Beth Costello

My art practice is an ongoing journey shaped by both struggle and inspiration. For me creating is an intuitive process that uncovers deeper layers of understanding and self-awareness, shaping not only my work but the individual I have become. This process is never static—shifting between clarity and insight, and moments of doubt, stillness, and uncertainty. I have come to view these fluctuations not as obstacles, but as “in the meantime moments,” when the weight of wanting to create without words or direction can feel burdensome. Working with paint, mixed media, found objects, and multiples, I explore the dialogue between material and meaning, often focusing on themes of personal relationships and social injustice. Through it all, painting remains my constant, offering a profound sense of connection—both to me and to those who find reflections of their own stories within my work. Alongside my art practice, I teach Graphic Design and Art Appreciation at Nassau and Suffolk Community Colleges and commune and collaborate with a group of artists once a month at the Sea Cliff Arts Council Community Art Hang.
